Hi Paul,
DVD, VHS, BETA.... it does not matter. OK, DVD is better. Maybe you can talk about the 4th pedal on the video.

Thanks in advance,

Who was Mel Tillis' steel player in the 70s?

During setup for a gig this past weekend, one of the other band members was playing a copy of Mel Tillis Live at the Sam Houston Coliseum. I think it was recorded between 1968 to 1970. The steel playing was great, especially on "Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town". We must have played it 4 ...

Hi Ann,
It's always nice seeing the videos you post of Billy playing the Carter-Starter at the NAMM shows. I noticed a couple of new ones. Are they from the latest NAMM show. (Hi Bud and John)

Was that Johnny's MSA or was it Tommy White's MSA? I know that Johnny is a part of MSA Team Millinium and was suppose to get a new MSA Millinium. No matter, he was great!!!!!

I recorded it and have been watching Johnny's ride over and over. Not only was Johnny great, as always, it was one of the best camera shots of a steel player I've seen on the Opry in a while. Also a nice look at the MSA Millenium.

Jim,
I have a 2120. I think the setting will still work. Is there a place to go to find more setting for other steel players like Buddy?

Thanks,

Bennie, My favorite is George L's stainless. S.I.T. and Jagwire also make a good set of stainless. I recently switched over to nickel wound because I read on the forum that stainless tends to cut into the changer more than nickel wound. This seems to make sence being that stainless is harder than ni...

Terry,
Nice looking guitar. I've had my D10 for a year now and still love it.

Corky,
Last time I saw you was when you were with Perfect Strangers. Let me know when you play in Houston.

Miguel, When you were with the Gatlin Brothers I remember seeing you setup on a riser above the other musicians. I think it was a TV show or something. Anyway, you were in good view to be seen by all. My point is that most bands will put the Steel at the back of the stage and out of view from the cr...

? for David Spires

Hi David,

In your thread in the Electronic section about the Pod XT, you mentioned that the tuner section of the Pod works well with your tempered tuning chart.

Is this the same tuning chart as Jeff's or Buddy's or did you develope your own tempered tuning chart?

Thanks,

Al B

Mike, I once had a TubeFlex that had a great tube preamp section. I believe it was powered by two 12ax7s. I think it was replaced by the TransTube which is all solid state. Why don't Peavey consider bringing back the Tubeflex. Maybe with some hotter tube than the 12ax7s. I would gladly get rid of my...
