Ben, thanks for the clip. A Jack Logan was involved with Nuggett Records , along with Lonzo & Oscar, in the early 60's. It may be that this is the same fellow. Another steel artist who worked with Lonzo & Oscar for a time was Cousin Jody, one of my favorites.

I had heard the Larry's version, and like it alright. I heard David's version on the link Jack provided, and liked it also. I like the version by George & Alan best.

Rhonda made 2 fine country CD's for Giant Records. Donna Hammitt played steel for her for awhile. I am very sad to hear of his passing. Vern singing those Max D. Barnes songs with Jim Vest on steel was wonderful music. I will miss him very much. Our prayers are with his family.

I am very disappointed in the news about Mr. Bilbrey. Like all of us, I have enjoyed listening to him through the years. He is knowledgeable about true country music and seems to be sincere in his appreciation for all of us who listened to him.

Even though I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Brumley, I feel as if I have lost a family member or close friend. Our prayers are with his family.

I enjoyed the excellent job she did with Rhonda Vincent's country group on their several Opry guest appearances, and as Greg has said, the fine work she did while with Bill Anderson's group. Who was Donna with before she worked with Rhonda?

I enjoy listening to the Opry to hear: Tommy White, Dave Robbins, Gary Carter, Darrell Hornburger, PeeWee Rogers and at times pickers like Paul Franklin, Pete Finney, Randle Currie, etc.
