Gram & Emmylou Recordings
WSM played " The Angels Rejoiced" by Gram & Emmylou today. Are there commercial recordings of their songs together available for purchase?
For sure. There's lots more where that came from.
I think "The Angels Rejoiced" was on an album called "Sleepless Nights" - some previously unreleased Parsons stuff, some of it with Emmylou that was put out in the late 70's......76 or so. Some of it was, if I remember correctly, previously unreleased Burrito Brothers stuff, but I might be confused on that.
Shortly after Gram died the album "Grievous Angel" was released - a studio album with Emmylou. Maybe 1973 or early 74. Before that was Gram's "GP" album - again with Emmylou.
And there was a live album with the "Fallen Angels" (Neil Flanz was all over that and was great) - live versions of a lot of the GP material, again with Emmylou of course.
I don't know about "Sleepless Nights" (I bought it on vinyl when it came out), but I'm sure you could get the other ones from Amazon or itunes.
