I don't know the Canadian tax laws, but if I would have a steel dend over from the US to The Netherlands, they will add the shipping cost to the price of the steel to calculate the VAT. Not sure if the duty is on the total amount or just on the price of the steel. They have a strange reasoning that ...

That's a bad idea. Aluminium expands and shrinks too much with different temperatures. You would be retuning all the timeif you would attach the changer and keyhead to an aluminium neck.

Could be that these are BL710 pickups. They are designed for use with a pot pedal, and might be too hot to use with a Hilton pedal. They need a large distance from the strings, so you can try to lower the pickup and see if it improves.

Did you reverse the input and output on the volume pedal? I dont quite follow, I have been utilizing the pedal as it is labeled on the bottom. In, and two outs. It's a goodrich 120. Just to be sure, skip the volume pedal and plug your guitar straight into the amp. You never know, if a pot pot was r...

I once had the same problem. It's very easy to unscrew just the amphead part and send it. It only weighs a little.

Just pick a string, and watch the second hand of your watch. I would say that 20 seconds is sort of ok. 25 seconds is good. It's not a measure of how good your guitar sounds, it just play a bit easier with a good sustain.

I dunno. As I recall, Bill said his 710 was designed for pot pedals, and the 910 was designed for active volume pedals? Anyhow, all other things being equal, I don't think you'd hear a difference if a pickup was 29k, or 31k. Any resistance measurement differences of less than 10% can probably be ig...

What are the characteristics of the XR16? I had a BL710 before, and now a BL XR-16. On my JCH the low strings are a bit warmer and smoother, the high strings sound silkier, less harsh. I wouldn't say that it's darker, just different. The XR-16 is a fine pickup which I will keep on using, but everyt...
