I have one and I love it; Its perfect for pedal steel, there is nothing else like it, I do need the full spread for five pages of tabs in a single song, in some instructional materials I use. Has anybody seen if there are two sizes available for the clamped pieces, they are about 7 inches in length,...

Is Boss a True Bypass?

Hey Brooks, looking at the Boss Blues Overdrive, is that a true bypass unit? When its off, it doesn't add anything to the signal?

E9th will also give you C6th (no pedals) !

Dear Phil - Everyone has different musical tastes, so the main reason for doing C6th vs E9th is not the limitations of your pedal set up, but the music you want to play. Your musical ideas should drive your equipment, not the other way around. If you really really love C6th, you need to stay with th...

If you are coming all the way from France, and only staying two days, I would spend one day downtown (Broadway), and one day in Opryland. Or better yet, spend one morning and early afternoon downtown (Broadway) and get your music both nights out at Opryland. The original and traditional area is Broa...

Dear Kirk - The reason for the price difference is that the Discovery is priced to sell to the first time buyer student and beginner market and the Expo is marketed among pro-level guitars. However the Discovery is probably a better deal, and I am a two time GFI owner. The Discovery has all the esse...

Harry Belefonte singing Gordon Lightfoot

This year in other sections of the forum various members first noted the death of Harry Belafonte, and then within the span of a few weeks, also of Gordon Lightfoot. This video features both of the two recently deceased icons at the same time. It is a VERY slow ballad by Mr. Harry Belafonte singing ...

How long have you been working on the A6th copedant? Seems like every couple of months you've got a new wrinkle on something. Congratulations on your musical ideas and it must be fun to change copedants around - but also a mechanical challenge. I got exposed briefly to A6th in Herb Remington's no pe...

Thanks so much for posting this Kristen. Can you quote a particular song from a particular album that this is done on? I understand the lick, but having an exact example to hear is always a plus. Dear Rich - There's nothing like getting your first kicks on E9th with pedals after playing non pedal steel guitars and dobro. I came to E9th after playing C6th with no pedals and I found it very liberating. As a matter of fact, I still consider 8 string C6th with no pedals to be harder to play than...
