Hi there all. I have a 1974 pull release Marlen SD10. The Left Knee left, Knee Lever has about an inch and a half of play before it engages the 4th and 8th string to raise ? How can I reduce that play and generally tighten up the amount of movement required ?

Thanks Andrew, I'm now back in a position of the F pedal working as it should, but still with nearly 2 inches of movement before the start of string pulls on strins 4 and 8. Hi, I'm changing strings on my Marlen tomorrow after about 2 years ( I know, bad form !! ) What simple service can I do whilst strings are off ?? The steel is working fine and stays in tune well with no mechanical issues. Should I oil all moving parts, 3 in 1 oil ?? Any thing else I can do ?? Thanks...
