Marlen Knee lever, too much play !!
Hi there all. I have a 1974 pull release Marlen SD10. The Left Knee left, Knee Lever has about an inch and a half of play before it engages the 4th and 8th string to raise ? How can I reduce that play and generally tighten up the amount of movement required ?
Thanks in advance. Best STU

Hi, I'm changing strings on my Marlen tomorrow after about 2 years ( I know, bad form !! ) What simple service can I do whilst strings are off ?? The steel is working fine and stays in tune well with no mechanical issues. Should I oil all moving parts, 3 in 1 oil ?? Any thing else I can do ?? Thanks...

Hi Carl, Nice lap steel. Do you think the volume of top string could be anything to do with pickup adjustment ?? If not I guess it would need a rewind ?? If I were interested could the guitar be shipped to NYC to arrive by the 7th of September. I am in the USA for a week. Thanks in advance. Best STU...
