Harmony Roy Smeck H7 Lap Steel w/Legs Sold pending payment.

Post by Carl Lusk »

I am selling my vintage Harmony Roy Smeck H7 Lap Steel. I believe it was made around the late 50's to early 60's. I have not had it long, but it plays well and looks all original. It comes with its original case and it has legs. It has the earlier P13 pickup, that I heard is a better pickup then the pickup Harmony installed on their later Roy Smecks'. The only issue that is worth mentioning is that when picking the 1st string it sounds weaker compared to the other 5 strings. The tone and volume work fine and I think are original. The locking latches have been replaced and it has 2 keys. New C6 strings installed. Also comes with the original power cord, a thin bullet bar and a pitch pipe. It has some wear and chips in the finish, but for the most part it looks to be well taken care of. The legs are solid with no wobble. I will send more pictures upon request. Thanks for your interest.

Hi Carl, Nice lap steel. Do you think the volume of top string could be anything to do with pickup adjustment ?? If not I guess it would need a rewind ?? If I were interested could the guitar be shipped to NYC to arrive by the 7th of September. I am in the USA for a week. Thanks in advance. Best STUART

Hi Carl, I have not heard from you so I withdraw my offer to buy. Only have a short period to sort out lap Steel.
