Just an "educated" guess...

Hey Andrew! Maybe your guitar doesn't have the original endplate. Is there a cutout for where the C6 neck "was" or has it been "plugged" for cosmetic purposes. A replaced end plate probably would not have a serial number. It is unlikely to have come from the factory with no seria...

Hi Paul,Sr. and all the Franklin clan! You have all always been solid, down- home folks and stalwart supporters of all things steel guitar. Always kind, helpful, and supportive of the Newman family of which I have been glad to be a part of. Oleda...what a wonderful person to have known over the year...

Hey all! Sure a pleasant surprise to find another member of the Newman clan to surface so I'm sure we can give a warm welcome to Brian and his desire to be a helpful addition to the steel guitar community. Ever since Jeff's untimely passing there has been a lot of questions regarding the future of h...

"Food for thought"

Hey Paul! This must be my night for catching up with some old buds "up nawth"! Regarding Duane Marrs " push pull Emmons conversions to all-pull. Not many were done up this way. Knowing Duane as I did the project was inspired by Duane's nature of being open to experimentation. Probably...

Hey T.C! Saw your post...thought I'd say hey. Sounds as if you have a dilemma of originality vs. practicality. The guitar is good to go as she is original and a nice specimen. Adding the two knees using original styled parts will just make it "mo better"! I'm sure some Pro 1's were ordered...

Hey David! Have never heard a steel "cover" of "The Warmth Of The Sun" (Beach Boys). Steel melody with steel pads. Great chord progression (Brian W.). There' a phenominal version on YouTube with Willie Nelson singing, with the Beach Boys singing back-up. My word!!! I would take a...

Hey Don! Saw your post and remembered that I caught this pic of Hal. Back in '83 I ordered an early Emmons LeGrande, in a natural lacquer finish. Got a call from Jack Stray horn and he told me that he had a cabinet that Hal ordered, then changed his mind and opted for mica instead. Anyway,Jack offer...

Hey again David! Another gem. The "steel on steel" overdubs are the ticket. Great recorded tone/execution as well. I know how challenging it is to get it right and "in the can". Homemade axe sounds great too! Keep 'em coming. Thanks,RK :)

Hey George! Might be able to help out on info regarding your Marrs guitar.
