Hi Mike, I'm sorry about your loss. I met Jiggs at a friends jam here in Ohio in 1962 or 1963. When he started to play his straight steel, I put my Fender 400 back in the case. What an interesting life he must have lived. Another great steeler gone!

I was probably around when you bought your guitar. I've been around since Noah's flood. I went from a Emmons to a Day, to a Emmons, back to a Day, with different guitars. I'm NOT changing again!! I know it's whatever you get use to.

Hey Tammy, All of these guys telling you to use a Emmons setup must think Jimmy Day, Hal Rugg, Rudy Osborn and a lot of others, couldn't play very well. :D If the new guitar is a Day setup, just leave it alone and you'll be just fine. I've played both, and yes, I AM more comfortable with a Day setup...

Hey Mike, To make things even more confusing concerning stainless being non-magnetic. 400 grade stainless IS magnetic! 200 and 300 grades are not. Auto makers use 400 grade above the salt line, and 300 grade below the salt line. dick cochran
