By the way, that is my birthday weekend, and I really like chocolate chip cookies.

Dick, I don't know about playing your steel - I would be really afraid of putting a scratch on that beautiful Marlin. I really hope you can make it to one of our jams. I think you would enjoy yourself and we would be blessed with your playing. Besides, you would likely meet Mike Calaway - I believe he helped build your Marlin.

Glen, Sure wish I could make it down there for the jam. I'll be down that way in Nov. Maybe there will be something going on then.

Jim,

At some point at one of our jams, I would like to feature you the same as we are featuring Tommy. Our steelers would really appreciate your John Hughey styling. Hope to see you at some point along the line and maybe Rick will ask me to play Hummingbird again. I don't believe that we have ever featured a 12 string universal player. We have a very GOOD 12 string extended E9th (Joe Turner) that we feature any time we can.

I'll get to see my GA friends and my MASGA friends. I've been back working in NC for 10 months and haven't even had a chance to go see Buster Warren.

We are still planning a "Newbie", "Beginners", "Intermediate", session - probably starting around 10:00am for 30 to 60 minutes. We want to give those steelers a chance to play before an audience and/or help them play with tracks. Come on out and bring your steel and then play it!

In addition, we have added a Friday evening and night jam from 6 PM till as long as there's someone who wants to play up till Midnight. This addition should acommodate those who can't make it on Saturday, and those who travel a long distance will have the opportunity to get more playing time, to help justify the trip.
