Jacob, Go to "Forum Index", "For Sale: Instruments", then read b0b's post on what to do after your item sells. I think 2.5% is about the standard donation for a higher priced item. As far as securing yourself, I think if a forum member should buy your instrument, you can work out...

Jacob, Since you are new to the forum, you may not be aware of the instruments for sale forum right here. Please consider trying to sell this guitar on the forum instead of going to E-bay. Your donation after selling it would help keep the forum healthy so that others in the future may recieve help ...

Pedal steels are machines. They need to be properly set up and maintained by a competent mechanic. The difference is night and day. The problem is players that get underneath them and mess them up thinking they are smarter than the mechanic. I've seen this over and over. Then they sell the guitar i...

I don't own a vintage Emmons, but I seem to remember Buddy Emmons posted recently that the pups on the "Blade" are wound to about 17,500 ohms.

Richard, OK, then if you may have not gotten the rods back in the correct hole in the finger or bellcrank, you may not have enough travel in the third string pull, and may have the nylon tuner too tight and not letting the finger return to a true "at rest" position. I am not close to my Le...

Dan, it sounds like you have a very good plan and I wish you the best. Keep in mind that whatever guitar and amp you decide on, when you get it all set up, you will most likely not be happy with the tone you get from it. This is very normal. You will not have the tone that you hear the guys in Dalla...

Richard, You didn't change anything on the B pedal to change from Day to Emmons, did you? If you only reversed the A and C pedals, and there wasn't a previous problem with the B pedal, I would suggest that there may have been a broken string ball end in the changer and while inverting the guitar and...

Ken,I think Jerry has it nailed down on the correct way to tune it, and I suggest one other thing. Before you tune the open, also back off the pedal raise nylon tuner a round, or two. It seems possible that if it is over-tuned just a little, it may be holding the finger just a little sharp in the at...

Ken,I forgot to mention that I also use a .022 plain and I don't think that is your problem, and, from my limited experience, there should already be plenty of travel in the lever. It seems to me that when I got mine out of whack a few years ago, that what I found is that maybe I had the split-tuner...

Are saying that the guitar was stolen, or is it your auction that was stolen? I remember when you had it on ebay, but cannot remember if your reserve was met. Did it sell?

There was another item on E-BAY last weekend that should have been a $12,000 item listed for $3,000. It was restricted to pre-approved bidders only. A bidder had to e-mail the seller to register for approval. He instructed that he be e-mailed directly, instead of through E-BAY. The last time I check...

Jon, What Jerry said. If indeed you do have a half stop, you don't need to remove it.
Just back off the nylon tuner at the end plate to tune your "D" with the Knee lever against the full stop. This will not affect the half stop any way.
