Amp: Silverface Fender Dual Showman Reverb 135W (4 ohms). Practically identical to a Twin of the same era.

Cab: 1 open back w/Black Widow 15" (4 ohms)
or: 2 open backs w/EVM 12L, 8 ohms each.

Sweet! :)

Jerry, try unhooking the raise helper spring, the one directly under the top deck of the guitar. Since string 2 is not raised there is no need for it. You might want to do the same for string 9. The raise helper spring pre-loads the raise section of the 1R/1L changer, causing it to move at the sligh...

..., but IN in german is IN. You're quite right, Roger. IN (English)is indeed IN (German) as a preposition: "in the house" - "in dem Haus". As a prefix, however, IN becomes EIN: "income" - "Einkommen". In this case "E" stands for "Eingang"...

Mick, on my Sierra Crown the Allen head size of the bolts that hold the plate of the mobile knee lever brackets ("hub assembly") is 1/8" (one eighth of an inch, roughly 3.2 mm). 9/64" would be nine sixty-fourth of an inch or 3.57 mm. The number combination 10/32 measures screws a...

Hi Steve, your arsenal of effect and amps should do the job nicely. I am not really familiar with the Transtubefex. If it doesn't have an overdrive effect for some crunchy rhythm, I'd use a TubeScreamer (the reissue model is quite okay) for that. You might want to consider a POD, which would give yo...

Thanks, Graham, now I get it. the nylon hex nuts do infact cut it...provided there is enough thread going into them, and theyre nice and tight. You might want to consider the rods John Coop makes. They have brass 3/16" tuning nuts permanently affixed to one end, much like the Sierra pull rods. I...

Why does it need barrel tuners AND nylon tuners ? Richard, I thought the same thing. Maybe I'm dense (very likely), but I still don't understand it. Barrel tuners work, because the whole rod is turned and screws itself into the barrel. The "nut" at the end of the rod is fixed: it does not...

If you send a steel or amp by mail you have to put the value on the slip.If the guitar is on that slip for a couple G's you will see a difference in your shipping cost. Those differentiations in cost's will go to the state.Looks like taxes to me.... Ron, there are no taxes involved in this scenario....

Mike, On my Sierra Session S-14 uni, I have 3 lowers on strings 2 and 8 each. The reason for that is that I have the change lock for the B6 mode on a dedicated LK lever, and I put the two lowers on string 2 on two sepearate RK levers. Also, there are 4 raises on string 5: P1, P3, P7 and the raise ad...

Randal, I see two problems with this design - besides the fact that it is only a single lower changer. 1. The lower tuning screw takes the full force of the string tension. A nylon hex tuner would probably not work. You'd need a pretty tight self-locking nut to keep the unlowered finger in tune. 2. ...

It doesn't really surprise me, considering the fact that he also had the vibrato/tremolo thing backwards.

Leo was undoubtably a genious in many fields. Musical terminology wasn't one of them. So what?

Del, I think there's a typo in you "D" chord diagram: the 3rd fret D major shouldn't have the A pedal engaged. The A pedal should be used on the 1st fret D chord. The A pedal on the 3rd fret would give you an E note (9th) instead of the D root. On all the chords where you hold just the A p...
