I use a CyberTwin with my steel and it sounds great. I got some settings for it on an earlier thread on the forum and made a few myself. You can get a really warm "old" type sound and also a really clean bright sound. Lots of headroom too. (there also really light) ------------------ Frank...

Paul uses the Messa, studio pre-amp. Its no longer produced but there are lots available on the second hand market, usually around $2-300 dollars. They are very reliable and have a great tone.

Slim does play Excel, I had the pleasure of working with him in 99 at the London Paladium with Mark Chestnut. Slim is a real gent and a genuine master of his craft. He played it through a Lexicon reverb and an Evans pre amp direct into the PA.

Hi, Has anyone tried a new Fender Cybertwin amp on stage yet. I tried one in the shop and it sounds fantastic with some really clean and warm tones, great reverbs and effects, however, have they got enough headroom to play clean and loud in a live environment. Your comments are most welcome. Thanks.
