FWIW...
Sierra did not give a guitar to Robert.
Robert bought a used Sierra S14U privatly, and paid Sierra to set it up for him.
Then, once he knew he was going to like a Sierra, he bought a new Custom S13 (the red one) with his copedant.

| Frank, I saw him last year and he was using two Fender Twins, one was a newer one, maybe the one called " the twin " and the other one was a silver face. I got up close after the show to see what kind of stomp boxes he was using, and they were all made by boss. I talked to the tech and I was surprised to find out that not one of the stomp boxes was an overdrive or distortion pedal. He got the Rock tone the old fashioned way, turning the amp up real loud. He was playing a white Carter and a purple Fessy when I saw him. He must change equipment a lot. He sounded great to me but I just happened to be talking about him with a drummer I work with who happened to be at the same concert that I saw and he thought that every tune sounded the same. | Hi, Robert uses a Crate DD300a amp head and a boogie 4x12 cab most of the time although for some TV work he uses a couple of old twins. |

Hi Bobby,
Yes he uses a Crate, he says its the loudest head amp he can get and has lots of headroom.
He also plays through a Morley Wah pedal too.
Musically His favourite players are Buddy Emmons and Lloyd Green.
His latest CD 'Unclassified' is amazing and really shows another angle to our beloved instrument. Great to see it get some exposure.

That Crate head he's using is a 300 watt guitar head based largely on the classic bass amp, the Ampeg SVT. Since Crate/Ampeg is one company, they were able to easily make that crossover. I wonder if Robert is using the dirty channel or just wide open clean. Anyone?
