Who plays steel for Mark?
We're planning on going to his show at the Wild Horse Saloon tonight.

Thanks,
Theresa

Theresa,

Marks' picker is Slim Yamaguchi. He's been with Mark for quite some time. I had the please of meeting Slim a few years ago. A great picker who is very modest about his talent.

Keep on pickin'!
Glenn

You guys are the best!

It should be a honky tonkin' good time tonight!
It'll be our first time seeing Mark.

I'm gonna try to get Gregg out on the dance floor. We might learn how to 2 step! LOL

Thanks, Theresa

Theresa, Mark Chestnut is one of my favorite country stars. Love that Texas country. Slim was with him when I saw him also.

Theresa,

As the others have stated Slim has been with Mark a long time ont he road. Mark originally started out with a band from this area (Beaumont/Orange Texas). When he was a youngster (17 or so) he was on our show at the Jefferson Theatre in Beaumont. He later got his record deal and hired some of the musicians off the show to work with him. Slim might have been the only musician who was not from this area. Mark continues to play good music and we are proud that he, Tracy Byrd, and Clay Walker are representing Southeast Texas so well!

Theresa - I had the pleasure of meeting Slim back in May. They were playing in Brenham, TX (home of Blue Bell Ice Cream ). He is a very nice person. I went up to the bandstand after the show and we visited for about 15 minutes or so. I told him I was there to see him, not Mark. Be sure to go up and visit with him and tell him hello for me.

I remember in Mark's video called "Brother Jukebox", Slim was playing a Mullen D-10 steel. He plays an Excel now. Slim also played a Mullen in a video Mark did called "Your Love Is A Miracle". Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel

Hi Theresa, Yes it is Slim, I had the pleasure of supporting Mark in Euorope while I was with Victoria Shaw. Slim is a real Gentleman and a big fan of Paul's. He's a great player too.
Mark is just great and the whole band are awesome.
Enjoy the gig. Tracy.
