Triple eight Stringmaster

Hi Chris, I was just wondering if you have found the short scale Stringmaster triple yet? If not I have one and have been considering letting mine go. If this is of interest to you please let me know.
Thanks and Blessings

Hi Dan, I measured the cavity in my stringmaster and it measured 2 7/8" on the small end, and 3 1/4" on the wide end next to the tuning nut. The cavity was 3/4" deep on the small end, and 1" deep next to the tuning nut. The cavity hole was 4 1/8" long. Hope this helps. Tommy

7-string tail piece from Allparts

I ordered this tail piece from Allparts and am very pleased with it. Sharp looking and well priced. It is going to work great on the instrument I am building.
Thanks for the info, Tommy

Stringmaster Restoration

Hi David, Thanks for the reply, and I value your encouragement. I grew up in the fifties when the Gibson and Fender were the steels to have. I am going to try to keep the stringmaster to it's original. I have another guitar that I built, that I plan to install the Gibson in. I have found myself caug...

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the reply. Yes I have the leg flanges. I now need to decide which pickups I will be using before I go any further. Russel from Fort Worth has told me that he has some parts, but the pickups will decide what parts I need. I plan to call Lollar next week and talk to him about what ...

Restoring A Triple 8 Stringmaster

Hi everyone, I received a Triple neck Stringmaster a few weeks ago. It was missing a lot of parts, I have located most of them to put it back up and running again. I still need to get the pickups for it, and was just wondering how the Gibson Grand Consoles from Lollar would sound. I also would like ...

Mark, I am not sure, but probably so. Because the instrument was striped when I got it, I had to come up with what I could install to have a nice player. I have several instruments I need to sell because age and arthritis has decided to take control.
Thanks.....Tommy

Price Change

O.K, How does $980 Shipped sound?
This still has the original finish, with the Fender Logo on the front. I tried to post a picture of the front, but was unable to get it to come up. This one is a player, and comes in a solid case.
Thanks for looking........Tommy

Modified D8 Stringmaster for sale Price change

$1100 shipped to the lower 48. PayPal preferred. When I got this there was only the body with the fretboards and leg flanges on it. I had to make a few parts to go with the ones that I found to get it going. It was necessary to rout out the small separator pieces that separate the two Stringmaster ...

New 10 String Lap Steel

I completed my 10 string early this year, so here is a few pictures to show you the finished product. The Lawrence pickup gives it a nice clean tone, and it has good sustain. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1504/7179_IMG_0007_1.jpg http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1504/7179_IMG_0010_1.jpg...

Pickup Tone

Hi Andy,
The George L's have a nice mellow tone. I believe the Stringmaster pickups have more of a Stratocaster Sound. I like the nice mellow tone, and it probably is more of a Pedal Steel sound.

Installing Pickups

Hi Paul' Thanks, The George L's are the E-66, They measure 1 3/8 x 3 7/8. They also have a 1/4 tab for mounting on the ends and the sides. They are plastic so they are easily cut off for the ones you don't need. If you can display me a picture of what you have, I think I can help advise you which wa...
