I would pay good money to see you play that, unless I could get in free.
I have a custom-built toggle switch for swapping between steel and guitar, maybe I could convince my loving brother to make you one too!

Ampeg Gemini II (1967-ish) for sale!
Hi all, I wanted to post this here before diving into Ebay. I've mentioned this amp a couple of times in posts before, and although I've really liked it, I'm moving in a different (and smaller) direction. So, here you go: For sale, one Ampeg Gemini II. Make me an offer, and see how close to $700 you...

Hey Mike, I'm really jealous of your 800, if it lets you have more than one pull per string--my 400 doesn't at the moment  Being able to pull that high E to F and F# is something i wanted for mine, but just can't do without some extra work. I assume you feel like you'd use the raise from F# to ...

Currently, The Late Night Benedictions, until the Oak Ridge Boys come and take me to prison. I'm also the Noah Earle Band, when I play with, you guessed it, Noah Earle. In the past, I did some time in Santa Fe, playing top40 country...for good money, and before that, Old65, Dogwater, Peach Orchard B...

I'm hoping one of the other more Fender-y fellas will post, but I've found there's a a bit of 2 footing going on under there, with no levers and all. Perhaps that is the way to solve some of the issues folks are bringing up? Again, this doesn't solve the issue as easily as perhaps a lever would...bu...

Thanks for the words, guys. I'm currently straining my eyes to read the chart, and it seems like my high G# would be an 011, which, Jim, you'd say an 013? That seems mighty thick, so I'm double checking before I screw this up. Moon: I ditched the D in the middle in favor of keeping the low E and the...

String gauges for Fender 400?
Hey all,
Getting ready to change strings and realized that I may need new string gauges, given a new tuning. I've got a shortscale Fender 400, planning on tuning it low to high, E-B-E-F#-G#-B-E-G#.
Suggestions for best possible gauges I should use?
Thanks in advance, you guys are the best.
Aaron

There was a video of the Doobie Bros. live, where they actually START the audience clapping at half time, and then PLAY double time over them--and the audience just goes along with it...it's CRAZY to watch, but just brilliant...you could never get an audience to clap half time in the midst of a song...

heheh...sons are tough. On a couple of points, although I won't go back and attribute them to their authors, either transcribing or creating new parts for the traditional songs, which might emulate licks that new folks need to know. I also have trouble, being an 8 stringer, with the fact that ...

I'm not sure I can help, but I'll make the attempt... I'm on a Mac as well, running OS X 10.4.10. I've also got the Excel X that came with Office. I figured this was pertinent, in that I too am an 8 stringer. So far, I've deleted 9 and 10, in both the first (Pedals/Levers) and second (Chords) sectio...

Re: Playing live vs home alone
I also feel that part of it is being constrained by playing with a band. I was wondering how many of you guys that can play all of this complicated stuff find yourselves a little reserved when doing the live thing. Any suggestions on how to branch out, other than just growing a pair and going for i...

The Floating pedals frighten me. I've been working through becoming a seated player for about three years now, and as David said earlier, I'm still not good enough for the effects that I use, but...sometimes people just eat the icing..my kids sure do. The leslie cab was a joke, but I had one f...

You could actually install that entire pedal board ON TO a Leslie cabinet. Drape it over the side, and have your other effects on TOP, thus complicating both setup and back pain. But OH what a beautiful morning when you cranked it up!! Never have to worry about getting drowned out by that damn lead ...
