I'm still runnung Win98SE but couple things come to mind. 1. drive cache. I use Wintune - one of its diagnostics reports cached/uncached drive performance. 2. 'compatability mode'. Have you checked the buffering setting??? With Media Player loaded, click Tools/Options and then the Performance tab. Near the middle of that page, you can specify how many seconds of content to download/buffer before starting to play. On my dial-up connection, 10 to 15 seconds is fine. --Everett
