HCOA-my PERSONAL guarantee

Post by Everett Cox »

Hi folks--After hearing this incredible music for the first time (a few years ago), I recorded to a CD. A friend "borrowed" that copy and refused to return it until it would no longer play. Never knew you could wear out a CD but that one had been listened to so often that it was, indeed, worn out!!!

Fortunately, the original file was still on my computer and had been used to make several recordings for myself and a few select people. All who heard the music were impressed, whether musicians or not, even if they had no idea what a "steel guitar" is. My grandson (who thinks "RAP" is music) actually sat through the entire recording. His only critique was a sincere "WOW!!!".

The other band members were certainly fine but, to a "wanabe" steeler such as I, Jody's fantastic playing is the main ingredient. His skill and creativity was/is nearly unbelievable. The harmonics (chimes), chords, bar crashes, use of volume and tone control are absolutely impressive!

Many, many, forum members encouraged Jody to get his music reissued on CD. It seems though, now that he HAS DONE SO, only a few have requested a copy.

SO, MY PERSONAL GUARANTEE to ANYONE who purchases his CD within the next six months:

If you can listen to the HCOA and honestly feel you didn't get your money's worth -- send me the CD with your mailing address. I will personally refund the purchase price including S&H and postage. Those who know me can attest to my integrity. I mean what I say. I don't hide behind a 'throw away' email address, I'm in the phone book, and have been a Forum member for years.

Mine is as sure a guarantee as you'll ever get on anything. Like all true guarantees, it is given with the knowledge that the product is SO GOOD it will likely never be tested. BUT -- it's for REAL and I mean it.

That's quite a guarentee!
Do you need the original, or will a copy suffice? Image

Yep, that is quite a guarantee. My HCOA showed up in the mail, and it's a total pleasure to listen to -- great music all around, and very stylistically innovative, IMO. I'll be surprised as all get-out if anyone in good faith takes Everett up on his offer. That's how good this CD is! Image

Just recieved my copy and Mr.Cox I'm afraid I'm gonna have to pass on your guarantee. I see no need in it for me since mine will be going into my music library. Like I said in another post, if everyone hasn't ordered one yet then they're doing there self an injustice. This one should be in everyone's music library. Jody shouldn't have no trouble selling all of these especially seeing the list of people who wanted one when it was announced of it's being offered.

It seems there were some difficulties at the ISGC that may have prevented Jody from displaying all of his fantastic talent.

I *KNOW* how good this man was AND IS.

MY GUARANTEE STILL HOLDS!!!

In fact, I'll add an additional incentive to buy and listen to this remarkable music. If ANYONE can duplicate, on non-pedal steel, Jody Carver's rendition of Caravan and/or Limehouse Blues - send me your CD and I'll pay YOU $20 for it PLUS the $18 cost of Jody's disk!

Lots of luck trying. --Everett

Mr Cox
I spoke to Jody and no one has asked to return the CD. I think they are going at a better pace that he had thought. So thank you
for offering what you did. I have heard much about you from Jody and Marilyn and I am so
happy that Jody has a friend like you. I think by this November 6th the anniversary of the passing of Johnny Cucci that Johnny will have that little headstone in memory of his friend, many thanks to you.

My best regards and thanks for all you have done. Lisa and myself will be moving in a day or two but I'll keep in touch through Jody. Thanks again.

Greg Sullivan.
