Crack me up Dave... I was going to go back and edit that mis-spelled word but I'm leaving it for the laugh I got from your post so others can appreciate it too.

I'm going to check out Beats Walkin' next.

Jim Cohen's "Four To The Bar"

I have me a new "commuter CD"... It's the kind you put in the car to play during the 1.5 hour trip to work in the morning and again at night. You like listening to it so much you leave it in the player all the time. Jim Cohen's "Four to the Bar"...boy am I'm sorry now that my wif...

Howard... I play my BTB-505 through a 100W Traynor with a 4x10 cabinet. But the cab kills my back to move it these days. I picked up an Ibanez SW-65 for $225 new that I can carry without too much pain. It's a tilt back and has RCA inputs for CD player etc. You can unplug the speaker from the amp. I ...

<helps who?> Helps me Donny. I'm the only one who will be playing this instrument so I'm only concerned about my comfort (selfish as that may sound http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif ). Specifically I suppose I should have stated that every 1/4" helps to keep my right knee from being hit by ...

Hi Tom... I came on this morning to remove that bottom hinge post...too late! http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif You are correct... Even with my heel directly on the floor before the hinge with just my toes on the pedal my kneee still moves up and down. So the bottom hinge is not a good idea and ...

Now you have me day dreaming... Let me refine the height definition as the height of the heel part of the pedal in the horizontal position since it is the height of the heel that affects the height of my knee. If it were possible to have a spring loaded return on a pedal hinged at the base (like the...

Thanks Keith. I would define height as the height of the pedal in it's fully horizontal position. The pressure sensitive pad sounds interesting for a wah-wah pedal. But as a volume pedal how would you set level and keep it there? Unless you split the pad into 2 halves..one for louder and the other f...

Norm - I have a Session D-10. Do your legs have the locating pin that you insert into the slot and twist? Are you able to twist the leg but not able to pull up on it? Or is the fit so tight that you can't turn it either? If that pin comes loose and sticks out too far it might be catching on somethin...

Lowest height pedal currently manufactured?

Who makes the lowest profile pedal and what is it's height? The lowest I've found so far is the Goodrich L120 which I estimate to be 1 3/4" (one of their pedals was listed as 2 1/4" and the low profile version was said to be 1/2" less than that). But every 1/4" helps so if there ...

This is what I though I had cut out:
http://the-orb.net/encyclop/culture/music/hocket.html

Lotsa French and Latin in there. It appears that hocketing is not necessarily melodic but rhythmic as well.

cross-fade/dissolve/morph all good. But there must be a classic musical term for this?

Funny you should mention that Erv. I'm wearing very flexible Rockport shoes..too flexible maybe. I was thinking about going to a boot to get better double pedal firmess in the sole. I won't mess with my knee lever spacing until I try it in boots...I may need the extra space I have there now. Thanks!

I was hoping to duplicate the method used at the factory but I'm not fussy. I'm going to do a little tugging on the front panel. Loose formica on aluminum frame

I suppose I should be asking this in the Kitchen Cabinet area of the Home Depot website. I have 3 places on my Sierra Session D-10 where the formica is coming loose. Two on the neck between the pickups and changer and the front face with the brand logo. Am I wrong to think that the formica has heat ...

How to set proper Knee lever spacing

I've got skinny legs and have a gap of about 1 to 1-1/2 inches between my leg when it touches the left knee lever and the right knee lever. This allows me to fidget with the pedals without disturbing either knee lever. But if I were to make a move from LKL to LKR on the same string there is a disrup...

The local ACE didn't have any bushings but did have roll pins. Here's what the final assembly looks like. The pin is just 1/4" shorter than it should so the hex head is recessed 1/4" deeper than all the others but that is acceptable to me. I have posted a pic in a while..let me see if this...

You can buy a brass/bronze bushing that is exactly the same as what they sell in guitar stores as a finger slide for 1/3 the price. I'll check and see what they have listed under nylon bushings. I agree Eric...I like th...
