Are Hook, Theresa, and myself the only ones digging this? Ok, maybe I don't know much about steel guitar. But I still say it's darn good picking for a 18-19 year old kid. He was that good 5 years before I was born. No wonder I never caught up.
PS. Thereas, I thought pretty girls always surronded the steel players? Maybe I was just lucky.
Walter Haynes told me that when Buddy Emmons came to Nashville he put everybody back in the Woodshed.
I have Promotional 45's of Emmons playing back in the 50's, like Flint Hill Special, among others. He was playing better at 17-18 years old than most players will ever get IMO.
Hey Bobby! Hope your doing great! I got to see Buddy last year on his Birthday at Tubbs theater and he sounded awesome there too. Let me know if your gonna be down at the Blind Horse , I'd love to come hear ya pick Steve Garrison
