Ya... I have talked to Bob before and he knows his way around these beasts. I'm glad it'll be going to a good home.
We'll just say I kept if safe for awhile.

Miller Custom Steel
I picked up a miller off craigslist awhile ago. Here is the thread I posted about it. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=149599&highlight= I know I paid $50 for it but I'd like to get $100. If you're in or around Nashville it'd be easier. I'd like it to go to someone who is going to ...

It is all about what you are most comfortable doing and how YOU work best. I can mix better in the box. I grew up mixing in the box. One of the very few times I mixed on a console, Duane Eddy was sitting next to me. We decided to do one mix without the Neve automation (flying fingers). Halfway throu...

No good or cheap way of doing this. I spent a grand on lumbar to make my last isolation box... it weighs 750 lbs. DON'T go buy Aurolex foam or any foam padding. It won't help one bit. That stuff is to make a room sound better... not stop sound from getting out. The only real thing that will do it is...

I think if Paul Franklin quit today, the A team would probably be Mike Johnson, Dan Dugmore, Tommy Detamore and Russ Pahl. That is the A-Team minus a few. Honestly there are plenty of people... myself included that would call Dan and Russ long before Paul. Nothing to do with talent or tone... for m...

I never ever, ever worry about outboard clocks. When I go to a studio that has outboard clock I always ask to use the converters internal clocks. I can't tell you the problems I have run into because the assistant didn't make sure that the session sample rate and the outboard clock were the same. MO...

Danny... The keyboard is a M-Audio Keystation 49. It is just a controller... no sounds. I USB it to my laptop and run MOTU Electric Keys for Rhodes, Wurly and B3 and Kontakt to trigger my sampled harmonium. Honestly it is a horrible feeling keyboard but it is light weight and easy to set up. I have ...

I have seen Dan use the visual sound on steel. I have also seen him use a Ernie Ball VP Jr. and a Hilton I think... even a bigsby(?) a time or two. I think he just grabs whatever is closest. If you are that good... I guess you can do that. Dan's guitar set up is normally... well... guitar straight i...

Steel and Keyboards
So... I am playing utility for my friends band. Couldn't figure out a good way to make my stage footprint smaller. As it is I have an electric, steel, lap, banjo, mandolin and a keyboard. Thought it would be cool if I could just mount my keyboard controller to the steel somehow. Got to thinking yest...

So I am gonna do it!! After much consideration I am going to start off by cleaning her up, getting some legs, and start off with getting two or three pedals working. If anyone has legs or a pedal assembly lying around let me know. I am sure I will be asking a lot more questions here as I get working...

Wanted - Steel legs and Pedals
I am looking for four legs and a pedal rack for this miller custom . Looks don't count... doesn't matter to me at all. Of course I would prefer the pedal rack be a miller. If not I need to be able to move the pedals to miller's spacing. Anybody got anything lying around they don't want/need anymore?...
