So... I am playing utility for my friends band. Couldn't figure out a good way to make my stage footprint smaller. As it is I have an electric, steel, lap, banjo, mandolin and a keyboard. Thought it would be cool if I could just mount my keyboard controller to the steel somehow.
Got to thinking yesterday and this is what I came up with. Nothing is permanent. If I need it on the steel that do all I do is slide the stand on the legs. It is held in place by rubber feet that I chopped in half.
It is very solid feeling and once I take the stickers off of it pretty cool looking too.
AAAAh yes, the old PVC trick again. I've made quiet a few things with it.cup holder, bar holder, tuner holder, all snaps on a leg(psg leg that is.)Also made a tilted amp stand just for home use.
FWIW someone makes what is called a "snap "T" that has a part cut out that will snap on the adjustable legs. I cut the backside out so it will snap on/off, works OK if you cut it just right.

I mounted my keyboard right over the steel. I made a tilting wooden platform that was about 10" above the strings and just bungeed the legs of the platform to my steel legs. made it out of 1x2 furring strips and a 1x12 board.
I've been thinking about this also for a while...when I'm gig ready on steel that is. My problem is that I have a full size 88 key roland that dwarfs my steel. Might have to downsize even though I'm used to piano size keys. Great job Ben!

Very clever stand for your keyboard.
I have a few questions about the keyboard itself. I also play steel, keyboards and sax in my band. I'm playing a Hammond XB 2 and it's large and heavy. (But great sound)
Can you tell me about your keyboard in the picture.

The keyboard is a M-Audio Keystation 49. It is just a controller... no sounds. I USB it to my laptop and run MOTU Electric Keys for Rhodes, Wurly and B3 and Kontakt to trigger my sampled harmonium.
Honestly it is a horrible feeling keyboard but it is light weight and easy to set up.
I have thought about getting something bigger and better but I am not a great keyboard player (well better at keyboards than I am at steel... but that isn't saying much). I am really just doing pads and minimal parts (huh... same as steel).
I am honestly shocked at how sturdy this stand turned out. I would be willing to put a 76 key keyboard on it. Any bigger and I would need to add brace that goes down to another point on the steel legs... which I might do anyway.
