Hi Dave! I’ve actually made spacers to go between the pedal bar and leg clutch. I used aluminum tubing, and even polished it with simichrome polish to make it look like the chrome legs. It worked great. However, my other 2 Emmons guitars have the 1” longer legs and I really like the stock look (no s...

Emmons push pull legs & fretboards
Hi guys, does anybody know where I can find a set (4) of legs for my Emmons push pull that are 1” LONGER than stock? Also, I need both fretboards for the same guitar. I’d like to find the original metal boards. Silver or white doesn’t matter. Thank you for any help you can provide! Karl

The best tone I’ve found for overdrive is a Fender Pro Junior… Tone control at 2 and Volume control 10-12…. mash the volume pedal and have at it. When overdriven slide guitar is required (ie Boot Scootin’ Boogie), I unplug from my steel amp and plug into the Pro Junior. My 2 cents worth! My Pro Juni...

I have at least one of all of the older Peavey steel guitar amps up thru the USA made NV112. I also have 2 Evans FET500's, and 3 Twin Reverbs. ALL of the Peavey amps sound great. I've always been able to scoop out the mids to my satisfaction with each and every one of them. My current go-to amps are...

I've used my NV112 at home, in the studio, and on stage. Works well everywhere! The younger guys I play with occasionally tend to get a little loud on stage, so while the NV112 worked, I was pushing it fairly hard... so when I go out with them I bring the NV1000. I don't play any louder, but the add...

Thanks for the effort Billy! I sold a Session 500 (short cabinet) back in the mid 80's. I thought I kept the remote (not sure why) but as of yet I haven't been able to locate it. I may have actually let it go with the amp??? I'm thinking I may attempt to build a remote. BUT... in the meantime... Hey...

Hi Mike! I actually used to use it in that manner in the early 80's when I bought my first Session 500 (small cabinet too!). Playing unison strings just slightly off pitch to create a chorusing effect seemed to work best. Now, it seems like everybody has a keyboard player... so we've been forgotten!...

My first steel was a brand new white MSA Classic 8+4. My dad bought it for me in 1975. It had the Super Sustain pickups and like the others have stated, was heavy. It's the only steel I've had that the handle broke on the case while I was loading it into the trunk of my dad's 73 LTD. However, it was...

Sperzel tuning machines to Grover?
Does anybody know if the stock Sperzel tuning machines on my early D-10 Zum can be replaced with Grover 210C tuners? I was hoping for a direct fit?

Session 500 String Effect mod?
Would it be possible to mod the string effect distortion in the Session 500 to be more like a tube screamer overdrive or similar? The stock sound has it more in the big muff realm. It would be nice to get a bluesier tone rather than the Hendrix tone!
