Thanks everyone! Case is in a new home and this thread can be closed.

Happy to pay forward some of the kindness shown to me in my steel guitar career by many of the people on this great forum and in our local steel community.

FREE: Case for Fessenden SD-10

Hi All, I have a grey Fessenden SD-10 case sitting in my apartment. It's clean, rugged, and in decent shape, with a little bit of road wear from touring - still lots of life in it. I had split cases made many years ago for this great guitar, but then I sold the guitar in the split cases so the origi...

Emmons Push/Pull Drop Spring

I broke one of the drop return springs that holds the lowers in place on the changer in my push/pull. I think I found a replacement spring but I imagine this could happen again so I want to be prepared. It's my understanding that Emmons does not have any in stock. Anyone have a few extras they'd be ...

That's an awesome looking guitar. If I hadn't recently bought an ST-12 from Lynn I'd be all over this myself. Anyone have an idea what this guitar would weigh (a universal push pull in a single neck body?) For some weird reason I have never been very comfortable with single body guitars, even though...

Here is my main obsession these days, a push-pull universal Emmons, originally from Jon Light:

I also have another similar guitar from Lynn Stafford which looks nearly identical and plays very smoothly.

Guitar is still available. :)

There has been a lot of interest in the split cases. I am forming a queue for those if the potential Fessenden buyer doesn't want them. Once the guitar sells I will get back to everyone.

Thank you!

Thanks Ray & Jon for your comments! Jon, you know I probably wouldn't be selling this if you hadn't gone and introduced me to universal tuning. Skip, As far as I know, all Fessenden logos are peel and stick. I do have at least one video of me playing the guitar, but the sound quality is not that...

Fessenden SD-10 3x5

Looking for a new home for my Fessenden SD-10 pedal steel guitar. I hate to sell this guitar, but I've moved to a 12 string universal setup so I'm letting go of my 10-strings. The guitar is in fantastic shape. I bought it about a year and a half ago off the Forum, and replaced the pickup with a True...

Thanks for this thread. Fessenden is definitely on the list as well. I recently started playing U12 on a converted Emmons PP 12 string. I am really into the universal tuning. I think eventually I am going to want to get a second U12 so I hope these vendors keep making them. Incidentally the Emmons t...

I recently measured my late 90's Fessenden SD-10. Here are the measurements I came up with: Length: 32 3/8" (between 32 5/16 and 32 3/8 ) plus the input jack sticks out about 1/8" Width: 10 3/4" Rear Endplate Height: 3 3/8" Front Endplate Height: 3 5/8" (5" exactly from...

I've used Mike Perlowin's book and Mark van Allen's CDs as well and they are both excellent resources. Mike's book (and supplement) lays it all out in a way that is really easy to understand, and Mark's CDs explain all the concepts very clearly and relate them to the steel guitar as you go. They mak...

Newman Courses for More Advanced players?

Searched the Forum last night but I didn't find an exact answer so I figured I might as well ask. I've been playing E9 for about 5 years and I've never had the pleasure of trying out Jeff Newman's materials. I'd consider myself an intermediate player. I've got a lot of scales and licks under my belt...

Lots of good responses so I will just add - I have small hands myself and still prefer the 15/16 over the 7/8.

I like my BJS 15/16 bar a lot better than any of the 7/8 and 1" ones I have tried, but I have yet to try a zirc bar.
