Paul: Thanks for the comments, I'll try that tomorrow. PP's are a very different animal for sure and just going through this exercise is educational. The more I know about the guitar the better I seem to play for some reason.

I just picked up a Bowman SD-10 push pull guitar. Never had a PP steel. This guitar came from a pawn shop so no history or help available through the seller. This guitar is a 3x5 with the E's on the left. I've had several standard all-pull guitars (including a Fender 800) and I could set all of them...

Bought this guitar a couple of years ago from Tab Tabscott. has always been in my studio (our band has much better steel player). In great shape, has a couple of bar dings in the mica and a few scratches on the pedal bar from volume pedal bracket. Spent some time with C6 but beyond my bandwith these...

Sometimes we get lucky. I had them send pictures and saw that it was a 3x5 push pull SD-10 Bowman pedal steel. Offered $1200 including shipping and bought it. Came in the case string side up with nothing else inside for packing and the divider in the case was busted but the guitar came in good condi...

Thanks Mike. I have a D-10 and don't play C6 and played dobro for about 20 years before pedal steel. I did the same thing on my back neck, went to a G tuning as you did. Still a work in progress and open to ideas.
