First time for me at Dallas. I don't like to fly, but I just had to see it with all that scheduled talent. All the folks were very nice and friendly too. Girl Howdy was a kick. And wasn't Reece great?

Thanks to all who put it on in Rick's name and participated.

Very enjoyable event.

I'm with Ray. I enjoy all the '50s R&R music. I still have a huge 45RPM collection of the hits. Buddy, Ritchie and the Big Bopper were all top performers and personalities, in my opinion. I stopped at my locker between class as a HS Sophomore and overheard some kids talking "Did you hear th...

Received my copy purchased from Amazon. Because lap steel instruction books (and especially Hawaiian lap steel instruction books) are scarce on the market, I try to support those authors that put the effort into publishing. Here's the song list in the TAB section: Steel on Blues Mauna Kea Maile Lei ...

What a man! LT's career is amazing. He was obviously born to play the steel guitar. His music is beautiful. He has an enduring faith in God and demonstrates a love for his family and others. He also doesn't seem to take himself seriously. I only wish I had the opportunity to learn SG from him when h...

Received several of Roy's tabs and MP3s this morning. These arrangements are the perfect way to start off the season and get in the Christmas spirit. These truly demonstrate what lap steel guitar is all about. Simple, yet hauntingly beautiful melody.

The Fullerton Museum had a red one (6 string I believe) in their collection at the recent "Instruments of Paradise" exhibit that closed Sept. 9th. Beautiful guitar.

Self Introduction

I'm new to the forum and steel guitar in general. I've always loved bluegrass music, especially the 5- string banjo. Hawaiian music, incorporating the steel guitar was my second passion, but couldn't find published lesson material or any private instruction until reecently. I also enjoy western swin...
