Rob Haines C6th DVD

Post by George Kovolenko »

Just saw a C6th lap steel instruction DVD by Rob Haines listed on ebay. Is anyone familair with his teaching or DVD. I haven't heard of him before. I am just finishing up the Mel Bal C6th book by Dewitt Scott and am looking for some additional learning material.

Thanks,

George

Rob - Just finished watching your C6 lap steel video this evening. Great job. Especially liked your discription of harmonics. Clear as a bell (pun intended) .

Thanks for the kind words on the DVD.

I've been in Nashville since 1981 and played with a number of country artists. Since I play mandolin as well I hang out with a lot of bluegrassers. In the last 10 years or so my day job has become video production. Check out the anedotes page on my website:

I just got finished viewing your DVD, Rob. I think you did a great job of explaining things for beginners, especially picking and blocking. The video explains and shows the technique of right hand blocking the best of any I've seen. :D

Maybe now I can learn to make my lap steel sound like that! I'm gonna be working on it. Thanks for doing a great job!

When is the next one coming out? :?:
