6 String Lap Steel Tab - Part 2 - Blue Hawaii

Post by Greg Cutshaw »

Just a reminder that these tabs can be played on the standard pedal steel C6th tuning as well. Many of these will improve your C6th pedal steel playing and knowledge.

This simplified version of Blue Hawaii shows how convenient the bottom C# string is. On later tabs I'll show some neat diminished chords using this string.

There's now a lap steel page on my website and it will include all these tabs in order. But it will not include all the discussion that occurs here!

Click here to see/print the Adobe.pdf file.

That's neat Greg. The C6 lap steel material is much needed and appreciated. Looking forward to more in the future. :D

Thanks guys! This stuff is time consuming to put out but I do have 40 tabs recorded and am working on one full blown song with backing track (Texas Playboy Rag). I am aware of a lot of bar slants and they do help but it's amazing how much music is on this thing without them if you are willing to move the bar a lot.
