When I bought my Sierra it came with a horse shoe pickup. I was disappointed with the low output and tone. i had the same luthier who has worked on Cindy's guitars install the original George L and it made a big difference. What do you mean by "Raw".

Thanks Earl, I have Doug's first book and CD. I love it. But, I want to learn backup.

What can you recommend for a small inexpensive amp for clean lap steel? Small and clean are the most important.

How well would this amp work with a Sierra 8 string non pedal steel guitar? Is it overkill? How would it compare to a Nashville 112? What would be a good price on a used Vegas 400? I'd like to hear the pros and cons.

When I was looking at Sierra's for my son, Hal had the best prices for new Sierra's. I ended up buying a used Sierra. Hal is a class act and a gentleman.
