FS: Peavey Nashville 112, Like New!

I bought the NV 112 from a local guy who had bought in new and was going to learn pedal steel. He took six lessons and gave up. It's in perfect condition and sounded perfect with the Sierra 8 before I sold it. I haven't used it since and realize I'm not going to in the future. By the way, It's the o...

When my son was looking for a lap steel, he was set on a Sierra after he saw/heard Cindy play one at a show. I tried to talk him into one of Tom Pettingills lap steels. I now have the Sierra and it's a monster. It's the closest tone to a pedal steel that I've heard from a lap steel. I love it. By th...

When I bought my Sierra it came with a horse shoe pickup. I was disappointed with the low output and tone. i had the same luthier who has worked on Cindy's guitars install the original George L and it made a big difference. What do you mean by "Raw".

Great Response! It looks like there's some nice options out there. I searched the forum for "Roland Cube" and it looks like the Roland Cube 80 XL is a favorite, but bigger than I want and need. I'll probably pack up the Sierra Lap Steel and head to GC or Sam Ash. By the way, I can't see pl...

Thanks for the kind words Dennis, I hope the guitar you purchase is working out for your son even though you had to do some work on it. Ron thanks for keeping an eye on my post. Peavey Vegas 400 Pedal Steel Guitar Amp Questions

How well would this amp work with a Sierra 8 string non pedal steel guitar? Is it overkill? How would it compare to a Nashville 112? What would be a good price on a used Vegas 400? I'd like to hear the pros and cons.

Thanks

I bought an eight string Sierra with legs and hard case for my son. It came with a Rick Aiello pickup that was replaced with the original George L. In my opinion the Sierra sounds wonderful. It does have a modern pedal steel sound. The guitar is heavy. I wouldn't want to play it on my lap, but with ...

I use one on gigs where I also play acoustic guitar....seems fine, an acoustic amp is just a PA with some other knobs (notch filter, chorus, etc.), I'd say.....more full range than a typical guitar amp, and without the tube warmth.... Actually, sometimes I'll even play straight through the PA (I ha...

replacing that Lollar pickup with a George L pickup would be like replacing a 1969 Fender Telecaster with a 2011 telecaster made in Mexico. ok, maybe not that extreme - but Lollar makes some very high quality pickups!! What Is Billy Robinson Playing?

I can't make out the name on the steel guitar Billy is playing in this video. I'm not familiar with the older steels or I would probably recognize it at a glance.
Sure sounds great.
