Looking For C6 Lap Steel Lessons For Playing Backup

Post by Dennis Burling »

Either DVD's, CD's and Books or Skype. I haven't been able to find much of anything for playing Lap Steel backup.

C6 non-pedal backup

Post by John Ely »

Dennis, John Ely who used to play for Asleep at the Wheel teaches a whole curriculum of back-up playing (and much more) for non-pedal C6 via Skype. He's a professional player and an excellent teacher. His website is http://www.hawaiiansteel.com/
(To avoid confusion, I point out that there are two of us on here the forum named John Ely. My name is also John Ely, but I'm not the pro-level player who teaches on Skype).
Good luck,
John
John Ely (but I'm not THE John Ely who played with Asleep at the Wheel).
