Fender SK

I never could get the sound I wanted out of a SK . So I traded it in for one of those new Fender Twin Tone Master. It weighs 33 lbs. I put a PODXT in front of it and its better than the SK. Still not satisfied . I may swap the 2 12's for a 15 in speaker. Cowboy Eddie Long has a demo of one he bought...

Fender steel king

I seem to recall that this amp was deliberately designed so that tone controls all set to 12 o'clock was a good starting point. I think I found this to be pretty much a good approach. My experience is that the exception is the reverb which should be turned off, period. It is IMO virtually unusable....

My first date with my wife I took her to see BJ in June of 1972 . He was the headliner I believe at the last Birmingham AL. radio station WVOK put on for many years . Always loved his silky voice. He will be missed .

I have many, but I will mention this one as I don't believe anyone has posted about it. Loyd Green's break on Alan Jackson's "Remember When", just a perfect and tasteful creation that really adds to the lyrics.

I have seen this video several times, but just now noticed the move he makes at about the 2:37 mark. I could never do that move with my feet in a million yrs. Sometimes you have to watch what is going on under the guitar just as much to what is taking place with the fingers and hands.

Billy I agree with Don. Very nice playing. My one suggestion and its just a matter of my personal taste, the steel needs to be a little louder in the mix or maybe back off of the drum track a little bit. Still very nice. :)
