I know this is a very old thread, but I just had to thank Tom Bradshaw for yet more fantastic service. I placed a small order on Wednesday evening, and told him there was no rush for it. It arrived here (Cambridge MA) in today's mail (Saturday). So an old thread, but still the same wonderful service...

Been away from the forum for a while - so I apologize for being so late adding my heartfelt condolences to Ann and to all John's family. I was lucky enough to buy an S-10 (and Nashville 112) before I moved back to the UK in 2006, and all at Carter could not have been more helpful. John's passing is ...

Tom, sounds like you would need 36 hour days to fit in all that! More thanks to Tom from me - Assuming customs don't steal the pots I bought off you this summer I'll be trying my hand with the soldering iron when I get back to the UK tomorrow.

Congrats on the 54 years too.

Garry Procter here from Wilmslow, Cheshire. “Discovered” the PSG in the very late 60’s as a teenager but could never afford an instrument. Played six string (acoustic and electric) since I was 13 (45 years ago!). Moved to the USA in 2000 and finally managed to buy my first PSG in 2004, a Carter Star...

The friend who asked me about this is extremely knowledgeable about all things Byrds related (and lots of other music stuff) and he said it had been driving hiim crazy not knowing who played the steel on that track. I guess we'll never know! Me, I'm driven crazy by much simpler things. Like playing ...

Gene Clarke's Steeler

Hi all – today a friend asked if I knew who was the pedal steel palyer on 'The True One' from Gene Clark's 'No Other 'album (1974). There's no one credited on the album. I don't know the track, and my friend says that Sneaky Pete played extensively on Gene's records, but that it doesn't sound like S...

Hi everyone - thanks for the welcome - much appreciated. I learn so much from this forum - it's a great place. Been lurking for about 2 years, joined last week. I have played guitar (acoustic mainly) for a long time - started when I was 12/13, now I'm 52. Loved psg since hearing it the early 70's (Sneeky Pete, Lloyd Green, Pete Drake, Jay Dee Maness, Ben Keith, etc.). Finally got around to buying my Carter S...

Another New Member

Another new member saying hello. Been lurking here for at least a year, finally got around to joining! Played acoustic for many years - still learning. Currently trying to maser some Jonh Renborn tunes. Very much a psg beginner. Like many Sneeky Pete's and Lloyd Green's playing turned me on to psg a...
