John Fabian passes - OnLine Memorial Service

Post by Ann Fabian »

We are now CLOSED due to Owner John Fabian's passing.

EMPLOYEES ONLY permitted in our shop at this time!

All inventory has been sold.

No more sales, service, information, or tech support will be offered from our shop.

No exceptions. Please respect this.

EXTREMELY URGENT Questions, Further Information, Concerns, How to Order Parts/Accessories/pedal steel guitars, or how to obtain Service or Tech Support:
Call 972-475-2324. Or, just send an email directly to us if it is EXTREMELY urgent.

We ask for your cooperation and thank you for your patience during this very sad and challenging time.

* * * *

Once I figure out how to amend our web sites to keep the educational information John so eloquently offers there and omit the ordering pages, I can do so. In the meantime, please notify folks to email me so I may forward their emails to the special dealer mentioned below.

* * * *

Special NOTE: A very special and factory-trained dealer has agreed to take over Warranty Service, Sales of Parts, and sales of remaining Carter pedal steel guitars' stock.
However, none of this is available until approximately April 30 2010.
Please be PATIENT and we will announce who it is once the time draws near.

Thank you.

Hi

Post by Ernest Cawby »

i WIL SURELY MIS jOHN VERY MUCH. I first met him in St Louis in person, very friendly and nice to me. Again in Dallas last year I walked up to John as he was setting up guitars, and after 2 years he called me by my first name, that was a shock, I asked him you remember me, John said every body know Ernie cawby, That was another greater shock. I traded for a Carter guitar and called the factory, John answered the phone and off the top of his head without looking anything up he told me the History of my Guitar. It was back at the factory in 1992 for BCT and upgrade. John must surly had a PHOTOgrafic mind, and always had a great big smile. I will surely miss him, I miss my Carter guitar already.

as ever ernie cawby

My condolences to Ann and John's family! John was an inspiration to me, and the main reason I began playing pedal steel. He will be missed.

I am so very sorry to read this. I didn't know until a few minutes ago. I will always value my affiliation with John and World Class Steels as a Magnum and Starter dealer. I am deeply troubled by John's passing.
