I had a top of screen message that Chrome will stop updates for Visa in a couple weeks . I have Vista ,window's 8.1 Chrome browzer .

Do i go to another browzer ?? .

How is the best way to turn off a laptop computer. options >> sleep ? /hibernate / shutdown ???. Lately i have been having problem's getting mine to restart windows,,i had it set to shutdown when i close the lid..Im running it plugged in 100% full power all the time ,so no battery drain. Wiz so far i have made a Recovery disc 1 & 2 . Toshiba applaction and drivers disc . I'll keep trying to get a system repair disc . Hi Wiz ,,sorry to bother you but i have a problem with the paid verson of melwarebytes [ By Pilform }.

it says error and will not update or scan .

Should i uninstall it and reinstall it ??

Thanks Jim .I have been using this Vista about 10 years with no major problems.I'll try turning off the new AVG and see if i can get the up dates.

I tried getting them through the control panel with no luck..but i'll keep trying.

Thanks Scott..I have been using Chrome over a year and the updates just down loaded and waited for me to ok them ,no problem..but last week i had updates down load and install every day .i look back at them and they are all the same updates,.I closed Chrome and tried getting them from windows update...

Im having a problem getting window up date's on my Vista . Last week it was popping up-dates everyday.[i have mine set to let me decide to install them } now it says [ windows cannot check for updates ] Im using Chrome browser .
