Somebody ought to jump all over this guitar. Few psg ever sounded better. AND, I wouldn't sell my Pro-III for such a great price.

Thanks for the Houston info

Many thanks to all of the forumites who provided me with info on where to go/what to do on my trip to Houston this past week. I had a great time and actually got to hear some fine steel playing for a change. Thanks to Bobby Bowman for the great conversation and Cameron Parsons for getting me into th...

You guys are great. I've emailed a couple of Forum pickers and am going to try to get in to the tents on Sat (of all days) to hear bands. Many thanks. I plan on enjoying Houston and am trying to land a job in Victoria.

Where to go in Houston???

I don't know if I'm on the right thread or not, but I'll be in Houston Feb 28-Mar 2. I've never been to the area and will be staying at the Westin (Galleria). Where are the clubs with real bands with steel guitars. Thanks folks.

What an interesting thread. I'm glad to see a few educators out there. I'm a public school music teacher (maybe that's why I don't play so well!!!!!).

Sho-Bud Pro II Custom

Somebody really needs to jump on this. I wouldn't sell one of my Pro III's for that price, and his has been cleaned up by a master.

Yeah, I went to the sitr after I sent the email (the big oops is clearly mine). I'll give the info to the man on Sunday as I said in my email back to you- we want the mics.

Shure Mics

Ron, this may be a "big oops", but are these the mics with the large round/dome grill at the end of the grip, or the straight grip without the dome grill? Thanks, Mike

Bump for not only a great player and teacher, but a great guy. Every time I go to Austin, I go to the Spoke to see Neil play and he visits with me each time. Alvin should let him play more. If I lived in Austin, I would be a full-time student. If you can, take advantage of this deal.

Like some of you, I have all of Mike's CDs- wonderful player, great musical taste whatever the song style, but "Bakersfield Gold" is my favorite at this point. Mike is a one of the truly nice guys in the business. I met him in St. Louis this year, and I asked him why that he was not playin...

This thread is what I love about the Forum. I'm a classically trained musician who respects the **** out of steelers; it's a monster instrument and takes really dedicated players to truly perform. I thought that it was just me who was unhappy with the "surroundings". I can stop those thera...
