Years ago I bought a Line 6 HX Stomp, multi FX unit, and also a 2 button switch that toggles through my presets. The switch is small, and I have it mounted on my rear right leg. I don't have to touch the HK Stomp pedal at all... works great for switching presets in the middle of a song. Here's a for...

Wow, my whole band schedule changed, and I never got the chance to try my new Quilter Super Block amp through the PA.... but if I had to say, I would go for the Tone Block 202, for the added amps..... I've now used it on stage about 25 times... sound guys just love the direct out, with speaker simul...

What fun, this gig is getting so close now. If you are in Northern California, but not close to Vacaville, the next day 7-22, my band is playing the Shasta County Melon Festival in Anderson, CA. If you come to either of these events, be sure to come and say "Hi", I love to meet new steelers!

Kerry, this may not help... cause I got my TT-15 in a Quilter cab... and it's a bit deeper cab.... wonderful bass response. I would try dialing back the bass from your usual setting, but still cutting the mids a bit. Hope that helps.... you're an awesome player, can't imagine any new equipment to se...

My Band Opening for Gethen Jenkins, Vacaville, 7-21-23

My band, The Hill Country Truckers will be opening a theatre concert with Gethen Jenkins and his band on July 21st. The venue is the JourneyDowntown Theatre (the old Theatre DeVille). I hear this older theater has been completely renovated for live music shows.... and I am so looking forward to this...

After working in a band for a couple of years with a lead guitarist using a Line 6 HXStomp fx unit... I bought one... That was a couple of years ago... still just love it, but I only set up 5 patches. I rotate through the different settings with a "momentary" 2 button switch... mounted on ...

I own both, but my 202 is in the TT-15 cab. I think Jack's comment about the FullQ setting sounding much like the Steelaire is right on, .... and I kept my Steelaire 'cause I've had much success with it over the years... but, if I was going buy one or the other, I'd invest in the 202.... more compac...

Congrats on the new gig!

Billy Mata was inducted into the Western Swing Society's Hall of Fame with me, way back in 2008. And Roger and I immediately became good friends. Great band, and great folks!

So glad the band is marching on as time goes by.

Bandit Town is located a few miles S-E of Oakhurst, CA... east of the Fresno area. A full BBQ dinner is included in the concert ticket (great food!). Here's a you tube...

So, if it helps, my last settings (outdoor gig) were: Bass=3:00; Mid=1:00; Treble=5:00.... main difference I see, is I always push the gain setting just under the master volume (like gain=4:00; Master=5:00). This is a hold-over from using the Steelaire... I found using the gain to "push" t...

One of my first steel amps was a black faced Bassman through two 1-15 (D-130s) cabs.... sounded killer... way back then.

Also, I understand Mr. Brumley was a huge fan of the Fender Bassman for steel.

Dave, no doubt the talent of the players.... you mentioned a "treble" sort of add-on to the amp tone.... I can tell you, as a young player back in the day, the Emmons had a slight treble boost, over the MSA's and Sho~Buds of the day... could be what you are trying to replicate today, with ...

I believe Whitey's current PSG player is a guy who goes by the name of Johnny "Up" Shadid. I know he has some instructional videos on You Tube.

I'll post an update here on the forum after our concert this Sunday.
