Hello James,
I play steel in Chicago all the time. Mostly with a group called Van Ghost, no current dates booked with them. I will be playing the Metro on 10/16 with Joe Pug.
Like everyone says Brian Wilke is the man. Go see him at the Empty Bottle and he give lessons. That's what I did 6 years ago.

Nashville 400 'Power Amp In' question
I just picked up a used NV400 and wanted to try using the preamp simulators on my Line 6 effect unit. I plugged; volume pedal > Line 6 > Power Amp In (on the back of the amp) The post volume control does not change the volume. I assumed that would control the master volume. Now that amp is just at o...

From what I'm told, no it will not reach the axle. I'm sure we would have gone that route if it were that simple. Neither one of us was interested in taking the whole changer apart. It was the last resort. However, I don't have the time, interest, or skill to conduct an experiment to 100% validate t...

My guy has theorized that you can not get lube to where it needs it the most, the axle, without taking the changer apart. After disassembling my changer he questioned if the Thomas was properly lubricated in the first place, or perhaps it was lubed/cleaned with something that dried it out. Who knows...

Anybody playing at SXSW in Austin next week?
I got a couple 2-3 gigs on Thursday 3/13. Anybody else going to be playing? I'd love to check out some other steel players while I'm down there.

112
Hello David, Not sure if you sent it back yet. When I got my 112 and took it to my first gig a door closed too fast and slammed in to the amp. I thought 'no big deal it's a Peavey'. I plugged it in and nothing. No red light, zippo. The next day I thought about it before sending it back decided to hu...

I play a red ss classic D-10. It was my upgrade from my maverick. Been playing it almost 2 years.
I just got a Thomas SD-10 so the msa has taken a back seat my last few gigs.
You can see the msa in action here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/80321703@N00/sets/72057594054744660/show

Thank you for everyone responses here and via email. My problem is removing this part, or removing the whole bell crank. How is that done? There appears to be a set screw but it's not a hex/allen shape. It's kind of Q shaped from what I can tell. Or, how do I take the whole bell crank off so I can p...

MSA SS Classic II needs repair question
The metal piece that connects the pedal rod to the bell crank is starting to crack on my b & c pedals. 1) Does this metal piece have a name? 2) Can I replace this piece or do I have to replace the whole bell crank? It looked like there was a hex screw I could loosen but no such luck. After looki...
