Nashville 400 'Power Amp In' question

Post by Rocco Labriola »

I just picked up a used NV400 and wanted to try using the preamp simulators on my Line 6 effect unit. I plugged; volume pedal > Line 6 > Power Amp In (on the back of the amp)

The post volume control does not change the volume. I assumed that would control the master volume.

Now that amp is just at one volume, I control everything with the Line 6. Is this normal?

Is this a realistic set up? It actually sounds pretty cool.

I used it for a long time (pod 2.0 with NV 400), and it sounded okay. My biggest gripes were that the output volume of the Pod was not high enough to drive the amp properly, and that it was noisy. But it does work.

That is correct. The master volume is place prior to the power amp in jack on the Nashville 400.

The setup is fine the way you have it.

Thanks a lot guys.

Jonathan I'm using the Line 6 XT Live and haven't had problem with volume. Changing the output of the L6 to line out was the key.
