I have an 8 string George Board - you won't regret the purchase - the guitars are cool - the Fralin pickups sound like old Fenders and and George Piburn is a very very nice person. You will of course eventually want a different sound for other purposes and then you will have to look up Rick Ailello ...

I use the Pelican 1700 - comes with blank foam - just put a strap around it if you fly in case the inspectors don't know how to close the latches. I have one case and a few sets of foam - blank foam sets are cheap - for different steel or recording equipment combinations. Best web prices are at www....

Thanks a lot for all of the comments. I hadn't thought about the need for the extra pedals. Perhaps starting from a u12 might work better.

I would like to know how easy it is to change an existing E9 s10 to a C6 or maybe an E7 sacred steel setup. I mostly play jazz and Hawaiian music on c6 non pedal and don't really need an E9 neck but most (if not all) used s10s seem to be E9.
