Looking for inexpensive 8 string lap steel

Post by Nick Anderson »

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I am looking for a cheap 8-string lap steel to tune to C6.

$300 is my approximate limit.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Nick

The Little Roy Wiggins S-8 is about $250.

I have to recommend the Dynalap, by forumite Mark Vinbury. Beautiful, great tone, and very nice to hold.

I have one of the Dynalap prototypes - very highly recommended.

Gary. The Artisan lap is 6 strings. He is looking for an eight string. Too bad the artisan does not come in 8 strings. THAT would also a big seller.
