Thanks John and Larry, I don’t use this setup live, I use a steel amp, but it would probably e good as a quick backup. This example I plugged my steel into a apogee duet, which connects to my iPhone or iPad. I just tried my wife’s Focusrite Scarlett 212 and that works great too, that requires an...

New iPhone iPad app
Hi, I was beta testing a great new guitar amp app simulator for iPad and iPhone, I thought I would mention it here. It’s called Gain stage vintage clean, if you can, listen with headphones. Here’s a quick clip.

Gibson console grand value
Hi, I have a friend who wants to trade a Gibson console grand I haven’t seen it yet but he sent me a picture. I guess he doesn’t have the case or the legs. Also one of the pickups is good but the other one has half the output. Any idea what it would be worth? He said he would trade me some music...

Pedal rod pull lever slot?
My sho bud pedal rod pull lever is starting to wear out which is causing tuning issues so I moved it to the closest slot inward. I always put it in the center slot because that is we’re it was marked when I bought it. I’ll have to order another one but was curious which slot people put there’s...

Hi Bob, It can be powered with a 9volt battery or phantom powered or any 9v center negative power supply. I use an electro harmonix one that was for another pedal. I think this thing sounds great lots of clean headroom. It also sounds great with six string guitar there's a lot of sounds you can get ...

I just ordered this tech 21 qstrip last week. It's a great pedal I put it in then effects loop of a fender rumble 500 watt bass amp. It's supposed to be a single strip of a vintage console. The total weight of the rack I made is about 12 lbs I'm really enjoying this setup. It's loud clean and offers...

Hi William, I just bought a rumble 500 head and I'm really liking it. I've played the last four or five gigs with it. It's amazing the difference with different speaker set ups. My favorite right now with it is the Travis Toy speaker. I had a 2x12 cabinet with some old eminence speakers that sounded...

I love tube amps, there is great joy waiting for the tubes to warm up and flipping the switch. It's great to know that they are built by hand and parts can be serviced without junking the whole thing. I wish more electronics were built by hand in the USA it's sad the throw away society we live in. A...

http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1205/3450_image_2.jpg I built this one a couple of months ago. It fits right on my rack, it's already wired up. The only problem is I have to still plug in my volume pedal and o.d. Because they're on the floor. It's nice having the effects level with the steel ...

Hi Ian, I have a 10 string but I took the 9 th string out( d) and put that on a knee lever and moved up my b string to the 9 string and added a low e. I love it, I play in classic rock bands and I like having those power chords. Plus you can do blues rhythm stuff really nice. Listen to some sneaky P...

Hi Karen, I had a flashback it sounded good. It was nice having different delay settings, but I didn't like not being able to change the modulation, etc. Also the tap tempo thing was kind of hard to do. Holding the button down and strumming the tempo. So I returned it and bought an el capistan. I ha...
