Hey Frank, I found these Bobbe Seymour's notes from ten tears ago. He adds a DD-3 to the Boss tone. He doesn't give the Boss tone settings but here are the DD-3's..

The last thing that anyone needs is an amp that has a history of crashing and the possibility of having it go down on a gig. The people at Quilter are really great with customer assistance and I commend them for their prompt, courteous repair service. Just don't think they can send you a replacemen...

My Mode Switch went out twice! Many, many people have had the same switch go bad on the Steelaire. They had a real big problem with the vendor(s)? who supplied the part I was told. It's really unfortunate for Quilter that they couldn't get a quality switch consistently made. I don't know if you can ...

I've got two of them. Both have "BROZ-O-PHONICtm" stamped at the base and only one has what I think is the Latch Lake logo stamped in also. I don't remember which one is older?
PM me if interested.

(...on second look, the Latch Lake logo is stamped on both.)

I wouldn't do it. I recently purchased a Fishman Nashville Spider Pick-up which now has an ebony top with the piezo sandwiched between it and the maple bottom. It broke very, very easily when a small bit of force was applied durning installition. Fishman was very generous and supplied me with a new ...

One standout for me is a gorgeous version of Deep Purple, starting at around 3:45 in this vid: [/b] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTSbU5Fg5yQ Amazing to see him play a 24 1/2" scale. Jerry said he always preferred 22 1/2" or even 22" scale. This 24 1/2" scale Stringmaster didn...

Does your pickup look like this? Higher treble poles on the left. Have you tried adjusting the bass side closer to the strings or maybe a larger diameter string?

Re: 50s Dual Professional Steel Switch issue

I bought the subject steel yesterday and initially the far PU didn’t produce sound when the switch was in that position. I found the yellow lead from the far PU disconnected from the switch and resoldered it. It’s the far right lug on the first photo. Still no sound although the PU works if jumpere...

Thanks Howard, I'll look into trying to get a Beard spider with the screws. My luthier has installed hundreds of pickups but this is the first Reso.
But, how would you install one on a vintage reso w/o changing the spider?
