i sent an email to the seller, after the auction ended, asking if the guitar was still for sale. i got a reply just now (4 am local time) saying, yes, it's for sale, and the seller "would like 3,500 for it." i asked 3500 WHAT? i told the seller i bought 2 similar guitars for $450 and $517,...

i'd been a public defender for nearly twenty years when i retired this past april fool's day, and the best advice i every received and ever could pass along was from that wise man w.c. fields. among other things, he said "you can't cheat an honest man." oddly enough, i think he's correct. ...

i'm a lefty, and i play poorly. i suspect it's unrelated to the fact that i hold it backwards (ie, traditional right-hand style). i strum my acoustic six-string "up-side down" (ie, left-handed) with regular right-hand tuning. makes no sense. but i figured learning pedal and lap would be so...

good for you, tony! i STILL get off thinking about that show! speaking of the rolling stones, my brother flew up from macon, georgia, a few weeks ago to see the stones playing in some small venue in beantown. said they kicked butt, too: nothing fancy, just good old rock and roll. they did a cover of...

for those who want to save$$: at the ames show, general admission tickets ($29) got you right up front, within spittin' distance. standing all night, but five feet away. the rest of the seats were drier, yet smokier.

is there THE zane beck tuning and set-up for d-10s?

there is a WONDERFUL discussion replete with anecdotes and quotes from "the man" about the genuine zane beck tuning for an s-12. does there exist the "definitive tuning" for my d-10? if so, i'd love to read it, and apply the results to my own little red d-10. thanks, all. i look ...
