I'll be in Ames this Saturday(11-9)with a night off. Anyone playing around there this weekend?

chris--i live in des moines; i'll see what's up, and get back. my guess is it will be everyone's favorite around here: slim pickens.

chris--check your email, if you haven't already. i left you no doubt way more than you need to know about ames and des moines. good luck. oh, it's supposed to rain saturday. but we had snow tuesday, so rain is ok. it's iowa--it's what we talk about.

Sounds like you won't fing enything in Ames. If you have a car and head straight east to Marshalltown, I'll be at the Moose Club playing Western swing and country on my D-10 Franklin. I'll guarantee a lick or two. Dale Thomas

Also give Al kabela a call in Ames. He used to play several nights per week in a house band "Blue Sky Band". I heard he plays weekends now.
