I bought a 69 Bandmaster Reverb (same amp as a Super) knowing about the 'wimpy' output tranny. I bought a New Sensor OT with 2/4/8 ohm taps. I recently installed a new output transformer in my Bandmaster Reverb with taps for 2, 4, 8 ohm impedence. Very easy to do, cost was about $70. No mismatches with this here head! Versatality to boot...
