I ended up trying to replace the internal battery in the MPX-1. Removing the old battery was difficult but I finally got it out, however installing a new battery was a compromise. I had to apply some "high quality duct tape" to re-seat the new battery to keep it in place. It was successful...

"Pedal Steel Guitar" is an earlier copedent of Jimmie's before he added the vertical.

Interesting to compare his evolution, to the later copedent John Macy posted in the link in this thread.

Saddened to hear of his passing. Such an inspiring player.

With pedal 6, Buddy is doing a quick slide raking UP ^ strings 5, 4, 3, & 2

simultaneously palm muting strings 5,4, & 3 ... but letting string 2 ring.

it takes some practice, but very COOL.
