I have a Williams SD12 with Truetone pickup and I absolutely love it. Impeccable build quality, fit and finish is beautiful. Sounds kinda like my old sho-bud (but better). I havent owned a ton of steels but I cant imagine you could build one much better than this.

Hi C.D. Wow what a killer setup. Looks like you are sending your steel through your eurorack gear?

Also what is that fascinating little joystick box on tour steel?

Cool pedalboard. How do you like the future factory? The Future Factory is incredible and has totally changed the way i think about delays. The core tone of it is perfect, and the huge amount of control makes it perfect for steels. It has bass, mid, treble contols for the repeats which means you can...

Stereo Wet/Dry/Wet Pedalboard for "Ampless" PSG Rig

So lately I have been playing more and more PSG gigs, and until now have been using two small tube amps for a simple stereo rig. But the added weight, loud stage volume, and angry live sound engineers made me start looking into an "Ampless" rig with no speakers (my gigs are always in-ear- ...

60'S GuyaTone Console Double 8 Necks [SOLD, ]

I have for sale a super cool and rare GuyaTone double neck console steel with two 8 string necks. Based on some research it seems to be from the late 60's. Condition is pretty decent, with lots of cool finish wear and bumps. there is a busted tuning machine on the front neck but I have a replacement...

Great looking guitars! And to have a pair is simply decadent. Love it. Glad you got colored frames, but too bad they are discontinued.

Bought a Sho-Bud Fingertip. Help/Ideas with fixing it up?

Hi Yall, I got this groovy old Fingertip from the sixties a few weeks ago and I have been getting it fixed up. Ive been a guitar tech for years, but this is my first pedal steel guitar and I am having a ton of fun learning to play. However I notice there are some "eccentricities". Can some...

looks mostly correct but your 9th string should be tuned F not G, raising to F# on pedal "B" and dropping to E on pedal "F" also, pedal "B" should raise string 10 from C to D rather than lower from C to A. pedal "F" should raise string 7 (C) a half rather tha...

H Brian, and congratulations on the pedal steel! Are you just starting out on steel guitar, or did you play a non-pedal steel prior to buying the Sho-Bud? I play a different copedent, but it might help to look at what I think is considered more or less "standard" C6 for pedal steel: https...

Hi yall. First post and I'm glad to be here! I've Been playing a Guyatone double 8 console for a couple years and want to get into a pedal steel. This one came up for sale locally but it is quite puzzling. If anybody can tell me what make or model this is I would be very grateful. The fretboard look...
