That is a long way off, but there is plenty of steel in and around this town. Keep an eye on these fine honky tonks: The Broken Spoke, The White Horse, Little Longhorn Saloon, and The Cotton Club in Granger, TX. The Cotton Club has a fine band playing Sundays where Steve Palousek is the steel player...

My Nashville 112 arrived yesterday. The new amp sounds good, like one would expect the NV112 to sound. Will use it at a gig tomorrow.

Gary, thanks for the good, and prompt service. See you in Dallas.

Yes, Luke is the steel player with Margo. I was lucky enough to attend the Margo Price taping back in October. Luke did a great job.

Looking forward to watching the show tonight. Good music from both acts.

Saw them at Gruene Hall last Saturday. Dale's band was backing them. I believe Don Pawlak was on pedal steel. Great steel player. I think the fiddle player is the current Asleep player.

Got lucky. I inherited a MSA SD12 from a great-uncle. He was quite the musician, playing many instruments around East Texas back in the day. After looking at that guitar for awhile, I decided to learn to play it. Its been a year and a half, and thanks to a great teacher and some very patient musicia...

Had the pleasure of watching Margo and her band at the taping of the Austin City Limits TV show. They played well, and Luke's steel guitar pickin' was great. I would have had trouble playing a TV show like ACL. One of the boom cameras was a coulple of feet from Luke, and seems to have been facing hi...

Good interview with Laur Joamets, Sturgill Simpson's guitar player. In the interview, he talks about learning and playing the pedal steel. The last page is a short interview with Dan Dunmore. http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/24365-sturgill-simpsons-laur-joamets-from-estonia-to-nashville?page=1 ...

Ricky, Billy, or Jody. Got it. Thanks again. I'm having a great time learning this old guitar. I find myself practicing often, and searching for old, and new traditional country for good steel songs to learn. The MSA is a 12 string, and I have it tuned to an extended E-9. I am guessing is a 1970's v...
