That Emmons sounded good. Wonder if he was playing direct at the time or still using an Amp?

I have always been impressed with Wayne's playing, and great intonation, time, and tone on that tune.

Love the perfect time and pitch on the intial gliss, and then rock solid pitch with just right vibrato at the end of phrases.

Wayne is a killer player. I love to hear him play. This song is so fun to play.

Wayne is a monster picker who seemingly doesn't let the instrument define what he plays. check out "Little Sister" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHBTcjNbWyU then "Working Man Blues" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiMNNaOdEI8 solo at the two minute mark.

Probably my favorite version of "Farewell Party", well the steel guitar playing anyway.

Wayne's playing on this one makes my head spin. Especially the solo when he does that incredible bar slant.

Wow, now that guy can play. Blew my socks off on I Sang Dixie and man that Emmons sounds good. Is it a P/P of Legrand?

I met Wayne when he lived in Austin for a while a couple of years back. Great player, but also a very nice guy. He actually subbed a gig or two for me while he was here; talk about an upgrade. :-)
